At first this movie seemed scary because it had dragons that breathed fire. Then Hiccup met a dragon he called, “Toothless”. They became friends, and he realized that he couldn’t kill a dragon after all. My son’s favorite part was when he trained Toothless how to fly again and “when they defeated that big humongous dragon”. It is a movie that could scare some kids because each dragon has some special “power” that involved fire, two-headed, or just plain ugly, so I wouldn’t recommend it to kids under 4 or 5.
